Hack Your Broadband

First, Download a Port scanner, I prefer Advance Port Scanner, download it from here (Download Link).


Now go to What is my ip address and copy your IP address. and paste it on the "Select Ip" box. check the radio button "Use range" and type in the range you want to scan within. Or just copy and paste the same IP in the rage box, and change the value of the last section to "255" and click "Scan"

Once you click "Scan", it will start to scan all the IPs within the range you've given. On finishing the scanning process, it will show you the information about the ports opened and closed.  like this.

Now expand the IPs showing Opened Ports. Check whether Port 80 is opened or not, If its Opened, Take that IP and type it on your browser. If you're lucky it should show a prompt box asking for username and password. just type "admin" as both username and password (because thats the default user and password in most routers). It maybe wrong or correct, but in most cases it should be correct since most people lack this knowledge. Once you get the username and password right, you should see the Administration Page of the router. from here you can do anything you want. you can change the wifi password, SSID,  and more. you can even set parental control for the IP addresss. Or just move on to WAN Settings (Internet), and there you should be able to see the details of that IP (username and password of the account) even here in most cases the default password is "password". You can use these settings and access to internet for free :D
